Mabon is a Pagan harvest festival celebrated on the Autumn Equinox, typically around September 21–23 in the Northern Hemisphere. It marks the balance between day and night, as well as the second harvest of the year.
Mabon is a time for gratitude, reflection, and preparation for the darker months ahead. Some traditions honor the Green Man, a symbol of nature’s cycle, while others recognize the aging Goddess as she transitions from Mother to Crone.
Common Mabon rituals include:
Feasting with seasonal foods like apples, nuts, and grains.
Decorating altars with autumn symbols such as pinecones, acorns, and corn.
Offering libations to trees in honor of nature’s bounty.
Balancing rituals, acknowledging the shift from light to dark
