Ostara, also known as the Spring Equinox, is a pagan festival celebrated around March 20th or 21st, marking the official arrival of spring. Named after the Germanic goddess Eostre, it's a time to honor the balance of light and dark as day and night become equal. People often celebrate by planting seeds, decorating eggs (a symbol of fertility and new life), and participating in rituals to welcome the growing season.
Ostara reminds us that the Wheel has made another turn, renewal and rebirth have arrived and the days grow longer and warmer. Watch for the baby animals, protect and honor them as symbols of the cycles of life.
Made with love & magic by Rowan Woods Coven, for the Celtic sabbat of Ostara!
This 12 oz soy candle is from my beautiful new line of Sabbat Candles - Rowan Woods. This elegant line of precisely formulated and hand poured luminaries was inspired by the turning of the Wheel of the Year through the gorgeous landscape of each season.
**For a limited time, this candle also comes topped with a non-embedded pinch of English Rowan bark---please remove prior to burning the candle. English Rowan offers protection as well as a connection with the fae of the liminal spaces. I've included some as a candle blessing for you.
The Ostara candle is a soft violet / anise blend with vervain and amethyst chips on top.
I have worked tirelessly developing this line, almost all are currently available. I am certain you will love each one!
