These votive candles are perfect for Harvest season and the Autumnal Equinox, also known as Mabon. Mabon is a Celtic pagan holiday celebrated at or around September 21st and 23rd in the northern hemisphere. It is one of the eight Wiccan sabbats and marks the second of three Harvest festivals, the others being Lammas on August 1st and Samhain on October 31st. Mabon is often referred to as the “Witches’ Thanksgiving” because it is a time to give thanks for the harvest of fruit and grains, and to reflect on the blessings of the past season.
