This piece was inspired by my Celtic heritage and my alignment with Goddess/St Brigid of Kildare, Ireland. Brigid, or Brighid, or even Bride, as the Celts call her, was the only goddess that the pagans refused to stop worshipping when Christianity moved through Europe and the British Isles. The Celts took her worship into hiding and continued to honor her as their healing/smithcraft/poetry deity. So, the Catholics made her their own and sainted her, hence her being called 'St.' Brigid. To this day she has faithful Pagan & Christian devotees who keep her fire burning at Kildare. Additionally, there is a well in tribute to her where flowers and offerings are left, especially at Imbolc, in early February.
Brigid was sainted by the Church of St. Brigid into St. Brigid about 453 C.E. She is known as the patroness of farm work, cattle, healing, and protector of the household from fire and calamity, as well.
I love her for her healing abilities and consider her my patron goddess since my initiation into the path of the Great Goddess in the mid-1990's. This creation is near and dear to my heart. I hope you will love it too, and find much comfort, inspiration and healing as you touch and follow these beads around the necklace.
The triskele or triskelion is a long-revered symbol of the Holy Trinity, birth/death/rebirth and Maiden/Mother/Crone...all depending on your path of choice. It is the Celtic symbol of eternal life.

This is a wonderful piece for the energy healer, student of mysticism and metaphysics.
Please be gentle with your mala, this is a limited edition creation and these may not be available again. Trademark protected as Brigid's Healing Prayer Beads.

Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. This practice is known in Sanskrit as japa. Malas are typically made with 18, 27, 54 or 108 beads.
