One of the most beautiful Brigid candles you'll ever work with in your rituals! In legend, Brigid is the Celtic/Irish Goddess of Healing/Poetry/Hearth & Home. Her color energies are Purple (for creativity, art, poetry, dance & more) Green (for Healing/Water/Inspiration) and Deep Red/Wine (for Fire/Inspiration). This candle features the purple aspect of Brigid's energies.
My coven is Rowan Woods, and in researching my patron Goddess on a deeper level, I found her to be sacred to the Druids, and aligned with the Rowan tree. Hence, things began to truly fall into place with this high end candle.
This offering is crafted from eco-friendly hand poured soy/coconut wax. It has a lovely lemon/lavender aroma with dried rowan berries and small amethysts and citrines embedded in the wax. I have tied a spiral goddess charm and a rowan twig (perhaps use as a mini wand in ritual) to the jar with eco-hemp string and created a lovely label to honor and describe Brigid's energies. This is an offering so symbolic, so precise, and has given me the Awen energy (inspiration) to eventually add a few other goddesses to the line, in soy/coconut wax.
You won't find this anywhere else. These are crafted by me with help from my coven sisters.
A little mythology: The Rowan tree is steeped in ancient symbolism, especially within Celtic and Norse traditions. Revered as the “Tree of Protection,” it was often planted near homes to ward off evil spirits and negative energies. Its vibrant red berries were believed to hold magical properties, symbolizing courage, strength, and spiritual wisdom. In Celtic lore, the rowan is associated with healing and renewal, reflecting the tree’s seasonal cycle of shedding and regrowth. It’s also linked to femininity and fertility—Druids believed women were created from rowan wood, underscoring its connection to life and creation. Norse mythology adds another layer, with tales like Thor being saved by a rowan tree that bent over a river to rescue him from the underworld’s currents. Altogether, the rowan embodies protection, transformation, and mystical resilience.
Description of Brigid’s Creative Aspect:
Brigid is one of the most beloved deities of the Celtic world, revered as the Goddess of Inspiration (Awen) and the patroness of poets, musicians, storytellers, and artisans. Her creative aspect is a fusion of fire and flow — the sudden spark of an idea, the rhythm of a song, the shaping of words, the movement of dance, and the deep intuitive knowing that guides the Bardic path.

Poetry & Inspiration (Awen)
Brigid is the keeper of the imbas, the sacred inspiration that fills the poet’s mind with vision. She governs the intuitive, luminous moments when words arrive fully formed, when creativity feels like a blessing rather than an effort. Poets of the old Celtic world invoked her to open the inner sight and help them speak truth with beauty and power.

Music & Song
As a goddess of harmony and expression, Brigid inspires musicians to channel emotion into melody. Her energy is often described as rhythmic, uplifting, and fluid — the kind of inspiration that moves through the body as much as the mind. She is the muse behind the harp, the drum, the violin, and the human voice.

Dance & Movement
Brigid’s creative fire is not only intellectual — it is embodied. Dance under her influence becomes a form of prayer, a celebration of life-force, and a way to express what words cannot. Her presence encourages freedom, joy, and the courage to move in one’s own authentic rhythm.

The Bardic Aspect of Druidism
In the Bardic tradition, Brigid is the ultimate patron. Bards were not merely entertainers — they were historians, truth-keepers, healers, and carriers of cultural memory. Brigid’s flame represents:

The illumination of knowledge

The courage to speak truth

The artistry of weaving story and song

The sacred duty of preserving wisdom
